When Government Brutalizes Children

With all due respect to Jefferson, sometimes that perversion happens quickly. Such is the case in America where half our governments have launched a war on a quarter million years of biology in what seem like two weeks…

Of course, sometimes biology sucks.  My wife and I never had children. We tried, but never could. Sometimes, God’s plan doesn’t go the way you hope. We had a dog, however, Lady, a beautiful pointer we got when she was a puppy. One day when she was about seven she suddenly stopped eating.  We took her to the vet and it turned out she had pancreatic cancer.  The next day he told us there was no hope. He said he could wake her up and send her home with us, but she’d only last a couple of weeks and be in pain the whole time. We obviously couldn’t do that and said goodbye as he gave her the shot.

 

It was excruciating.  We poured all of our parental love into a puppy whose whole life was about having fun and being around us. It was almost unbearable to lose her. We cried for days. It was, and remains, the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced, and I’m old! I loved that dog more than almost anything on the planet. I certainly liked her more than most people I know.

 

To most people, this probably sounds crazy, and maybe it is. But here’s the thing: At the end of the day, as much as we loved her, we knew Lady was a dog, not an actual person. We weren’t raising her to be a good person, to graduate from college, or to raise a family. But some people get that opportunity with actual children, and they abuse it…

 

In terms of people abusing their children, there are too many stories to tell, but here I’m addressing only one aspect of that abuse: government.

 

Government plays a role in the raising of children. I don’t mean they are or should be raising America’s children. No, just the opposite. But government does have a role to play in a functioning society, things such as enforcing laws, providing a framework for resolving disputes, protecting the rights of citizens, etc.

 

But that’s not the government I’m talking about. No, I’m talking about the government that not only facilitates parents abusing their children but actively participates in the abuse itself.

 

The whole point of biology is to perpetuate the species. The whole point of civilization is to strengthen and perpetuate culture. When government undermines those things, it becomes illegitimate. Case in point. Colorado.

Last month, the Colorado House gave initial approval to a bill that would classify “misgendering”—that is, referring to a person by their actual, biological sex—as a crime if that person pretends they’re something else. What’s more, “It would also consider misgendering by a parent ‘coercive control’ and require courts to consider it when deciding child custody cases.”

 

So, a Colorado father who recognizes that his son is actually male and refuses to refer to him as a girl just because his college-educated liberal Munchausen-by-proxy-addled wife wants to turn little Johnny into little Jane could actually lose custody. (It’s almost always college-educated liberal Munchausen-by-proxy-addled women who do this.)

 

A father actually lost his parental rights to his boys because the mother, who wanted to castrate one of them, left Texas and moved the boys to California. Once there, the state sided with her.

 

This is insanity. Humans have been on earth for 250,000 years, and for all that time, there were two sexes, male and female. While you have a tiny fraction of people who genetically didn’t fit in either camp, that doesn’t make it normal, just as the existence of Siamese twins doesn’t make having two heads normal for humans.

 

The reality is that the trans psychosis that has infected the United States is the result of grooming-obsessed LGBT activists seeking to normalize that which is not normal, politicians seeking to empower themselves by promoting victimization, and a hypocritical medical system, as opposed to a Hippocratic system (“first, do no harm”), that profits at the expense of children’s physical and mental health.

 

Biology tells us that humans are men or women. There’s nothing in between beyond genetic mutations. Throughout human history, across the planet, the dominant family structure was built around what we’d call a nuclear family, with a mother and a father and their biological children at the core. Throughout history, the household structure might change (such as including grandparents or servants) but the core of a nuclear family persisted. Why? Because it’s demonstrably the most reliable organization for the perpetuation of culture and the species.

 

But somehow, in the last twenty years, we’ve decided that not only is the millennia-long definition of marriage as something between one man and one woman no longer valid but also that the most basic element of human biology, the definition of men and women, is somehow fluid.

 

If that insanity only applied to adults, it might at least be arguable, but that’s not what’s happening. We’re seeing governments embrace mental illness on an epic scale and use their police powers to help parents butcher their children and often do so at the urging of hospitals that make money off of the blood of those victims.

 

Somehow, this grooming cabal has convinced enough voters that this travesty is sufficiently normal that governments are now enforcing it.

 

The thing I don’t understand is how some parents can be so disconnected from human nature that they’re willing to butcher their children or give them medicines with the potential to destroy their lives. Nor do I understand others who, even if they have straight kids, are willing to vote for a government that butchers other people’s children and allows tweens to make life-altering decisions before they can legally vote or drink beer. Hell, I hated clipping Lady’s nails because I was scared I’d hurt her!

 

If you’d have told me 20 years ago that almost every state would have transgender clinics where they mutilate children and that half of the population would live in states where the government is complicit in this madness, I would have said you’re crazy.

 

But that’s where we are. In the best of circumstances, when adults “transition” (which is, of course, a fantasy), they’re 12 times more likely to be suicidal than those who don’t get the operation. The consequences for children are likely far higher.

 

It’s bad enough that parents sometimes abuse their children for their sick fantasies. That half of state governments help them do so is disgraceful. A government that refuses to protect children and enables their mutilation has lost all legitimacy. Donald Trump should threaten to withhold money going to any state that supports this – education, transportation, Medicare, Social Security, and every single dollar if the state doesn’t outlaw this butchery. Sure, they’ll whine, but that’s a small price for saving the tens of thousands of children whose lives would be destroyed by this butchery every year.

Five For Freedom - A Contract With America For The 21st Century

  America’s in a civil war.  Not a cocktail party war like Vietnam or Afghanistan where Americans stand around and talk about it but relatively few are personally impacted.  No, this a WWII level existential threat war where the difference between victory and defeat is literally freedom or tyranny.  One need look no farther than what Adolph Trudeau is doing in Canada right now to understand what the future holds. 

This war has been simmering for decades and most Americans didn’t even notice.  Now it’s obvious. Virtually every element of traditional American culture is being destroyed.  The left has decided that the United States is a plague on humanity and must be eliminated.

In this case the “left” consists of government, media, big tech, big business, and academia, among others.

Here’s a short list of their targets…    

Turning schools into leftist Indoctrination centers

Government control of your neighborhood

Open borders

Money / Driver’s licenses / Voting for illegals

Legalizing crime / No bail  

Encouraging / Empowering homelessness

2^nd Amendment

Censorship

Gender reimagining

Control over your body

Free exercise of religion

Peaceably assemble

Men having babies

Banking

Climate Change

CRT

Government spying on citizens

Girl’s sports

And of course, most problematic of all is their successful coup d'état.

With that and more, do we still live in a free country?  Obviously not.

Which brings us back to war.  Ask yourself, if someone declared war on America, what more might they do in victory? Other than killing you or turning you into slaves, what more is there?

Some argue we’re not in a war, citing polls that show a majority of Americans don’t like those leftist positions.  That’s accurate, but it doesn’t matter. The majority doesn’t count. The people who “count”, the opinion makers, those in academia, media, high tech, etc are the hardcore leftists behind all of this, and as we all know, the squeaky wheel gets the oil.

Americans have traditionally been ambivalent about government. For most politics was something to be endured every four years and after the election life got back to normal.

But no longer.  If you were a Teddy Roosevelt partisan or a fan of Truman or IKE, whether your guy won or lost didn’t matter tremendously to the average American.  Maybe your taxes would go up or down a bit or maybe the price of gasoline or chicken might change a bit, but that was it for most people, because government, particularly the federal government had little impact on their everyday lives.

Today not so much. In America of 2022 the federal government impacts almost every aspect of American lives, daily.  The price of gas, grades of meat, rate of pay at work, MPG for your car, Epi-Pens, not to mention vaccine mandates, gun regulations and shipping illegal immigrants to your neighborhood.  But it’s not just the federal government.  It’s state and local government as well.  From inane licensing requirements for hairdressers, bartenders and Uber drivers to union-centric dysfunctional schools and gun laws that outlaw the 2^nd Amendment in all but name, the fists of the federal fit perfectly into the state and local regulatory gloves, together strangling American freedom. 

But government’s not the only front in this war. There’s culture too.  From social media – the 21^st century’s public square – to mass media to academia and big business, the left dominates.  Not just dominates as in winning, but dominate as in ruling over everyone else.  Live and let live is not an axiom the left recognizes or exercises.  No, the left demands fealty or will crush you.  They’ll destroy your business, get you fired or banned from social media, take your kids away, kick you out of college and anything else they can think of.

Today we’re seeing the government leviathan becoming even more powerful as it assimilates with the leftist borg.  We saw it for four years as the FBI worked side by side with the media to tarnish Donald Trump’s name and destroy his presidency. Now, Joe Biden has encouraged the silencing of “misinformation”. 

At the same time the federal government has essentially established a gulag to house political prisoners who participated in the “insurrection” despite many being invited into the building by the police, some never entering the building at all and most having been involved in no violence whatsoever.  Some of these “terrorists” have been sitting, without charges or bail, in jails for over a year.  That treatment stands in stark contrast to the treatment of those who participated in the violent and deadly BLM / Antifa riots of the summer of 2020, most of whom were bailed out in the unlikely event they ended up in custody in the first place. 

All of this points to a fracture of America. Observations about “majorities” give one hope, but the reality is that unless the “majority” who reject leftism react, it won’t matter because, as we’re seeing in real time in Canada, the wall between freedom and fascism is fragile, and once it’s breached it’s likely game over.       

If the Republic is to survive it will be up to that “majority” to do something to arrest the slide into tyranny.  The GOP needs to take a page from Newt Gingrich and give them something to focus on, to talk about, and most importantly, vote on. The Contract with America was pivotal in nationalizing the election, and that’s exactly what we need now, a message that patriots can rally around.

The fronts upon which the left is attacking are too numerous to defend against simultaneously.  The battle lines need to be streamlined just as the Contract did.  As such, here are Five for Freedom… five common sense items that every GOP candidate or official must agree with if they want to win.  If they refuse on any one of them, they should be primaried or defeated in favor of someone who does support them.

1.  The 2020 election was fraudulent and such fraud cannot be allowed to occur again.

2.  Covid mandates are unconstitutional and must stop.

3.  The #1 job of the federal government will be to seal the southern border.

4.  The United States must be energy independent.

5.  CRT has no place in American schools.

If any candidate running on the GOP ticket can’t support these five positions, they have no place in the GOP. The threats to liberty are too numerous, the threats to the Constitution too grave to elect someone who will waffle on these basic principles.

If there is indeed a majority of Americans who are interested in saving the Republic, they have to have something to rally around.  Thus far the GOP has done an atrocious job of focusing America’s attention.  They need to do that now and Five for Freedom is the tool to do just that.  It’s likely it will have to happen over the objections of establishment Republicans like McConnell, McCarthy and Ronna McDaniel, but so be it.  At the end of the day you’re either on the side of freedom or not.  As the last two years have demonstrated, liberty is fragile and without citizens willing to stand up for it, it vanishes. This is the time, this is the place and Five for Freedom is the weapon with which patriots can vanquish the borg of woke leftism that has been seeking to assimilate America for decades.  The only question is, does the GOP have the courage to wield it?

40% of Gen Z Identifies as LBGT... Gee, What Might Cause That?

 I was shocked not long ago when I read a piece on the Newsweek website. The headline read “Nearly 40 Percent of U.S. Gen Zs, 30 Percent of Young Christians Identify as LGBTQ, Poll Shows”. That, aside from Joe Biden providing free crack pipes to help address racial inequality, is the most absurd thing I may have ever read. Not so much for the data itself per se, but rather, an illustration of exactly how malleable (and lost) young Americans are.

Whatever the natural percentage of LGBT etc. people in the United States is, it’s sure in hell not 40%. It’s probably closer to low single digits. Whatever it actually is, somehow with the left’s championing the of the rainbow, magically 40% of young people identify with it… not tolerate it, not say no problem with it, not even say, good for them, but against the tide of tens of thousands of years of human history, are now, or at least “identify” as, LBGT etc. That tells you a lot about the state of America today.

That so many young adults are so confused about sexual attraction, one of the most basic and important elements of life, one that most people never even have to question because it’s largely written in our genes, tells you quite a bit about how absurd America has become.

Guaranteed you won’t find this absurdity in nations where people struggle for food, water, shelter and freedom. Guaranteed you won’t find this absurdity in nations where war or terrorism or narco violence is an everyday concern. But you do here, because the United States had done such a spectacular – albeit imperfect – job of meeting the basic needs of life and providing unprecedented prosperity for most Americans that we have 40 million or more young people who have the luxury of navel gazing themselves out of the most basic of biological truths. And just to be clear, these aren’t children, they’re young adults born between 1984 & 2002, or between 20 & 38 years old.

How exactly does that happen? The first prerequisite is fulfillment of life’s basic needs. While we hear stories of poverty and desperation daily in the media, the reality is that most Americans do not struggle to attain the basic needs of life, food, water, shelter, and based on the birthrates of the poorest Americans, companionship. While there are no doubt exceptions to that – as there always are about virtually everything – the reality is that even the poor in the United States live better than the average European.

Beyond those there are myriad opportunities for folly, and in America there is a great deal of that. Much of it is driven by the media / academia / high tech cabal that passes for the intelligentsia in America and is increasingly abetted by big business.

My favorite quote of all time is Voltaire who said “Perfect is the enemy of the good.” Twenty First Century America is that quote incarnate. Rather than reinforcing the basic principles that laid the foundation for American success, things like Christianity, limited government, individual liberty & responsibility, freedom and capitalism, today the intelligentsia cabal spend their time attacking those things in the name of “doing better” or “diversity” or “inclusion”. Online and off they showcase everything in opposition to those values. And it’s never enough to welcome “marginalized” groups into the narrative, rather the culture that built America and the 70% of America that is still white must be demolished: Whites are racist. Capitalism rewards the rich at the expense of the poor. Women earn $.77 to a man’s $1.00. The Founding Fathers were racists and frontier settlers too. Systemic racism keeps minorities in poverty. Republicans hate blacks, immigrants, the poor and the elderly. America was founded to protect slavery, the flag is a symbol of racism and the Pledge of Allegiance is indoctrination into the cult. And of course Aunt Jemima was a symbol of racism and Dr. Seuss books too. Virtually anything traditional in American history is in the crosshairs.

The list of complaints never stops as the victim classes continue to grow, to the point that – no doubt taking their cue from Senator Pocahontas – a third of white students lied about being part of a minority group to improve their chances of acceptance into or gaining financial aid for college!

It is this swamp of equity, “anti-racism”, inclusion and infinite pronouns that today’s young people have grown up . From fake news and safe spaces to woke Madison Avenue and endless Kardashians it’s no wonder they’re confused. With proto CRT movements evolving everywhere from schools and the Pentagon to the Boy Scouts and corporate boardrooms, questioning pretty much everything about life seems almost normal. Gone from sight are “toxic” masculinity, “feminine” beauty, nuclear families and much of what defined America for more than two centuries. In their place are messages that men can get pregnant, hard work and math are racist and human activity is destroying the planet.

While these anti-American and anti-science messages have taken off recently, utterly devoid of common sense as they might be, the vapid culture they dominate today has been in the making for decades, going back to participation trophies, gay scout masters, unisex dorms and welfare programs that ballooned broken families.

And so today we find ourselves in a place where almost half of America’s young people question something almost as fundamental as gravity. They look in the mirror and are not sure who is looking back at them… a boy, a girl or somehow someone in between. That is neither normal nor healthy, for the individuals or society. But of course we’re not allowed to say that… because it’s nature, everyone is different and everyone has the right to decide who they want to be. While ostensibly that is true, in practice just because something happens in nature doesn’t make it normal. Siamese twins happen in nature as do serial killers, but neither is what we would consider normal or desirable.

For years young people have been getting the message in the media and in schools that there are no objective truths, that everything is up for debate, from free speech and capitalism to which gender they are. For ideas, such debates make sense and can help strengthen convictions or prompt evolution, which is the whole point. For biology, sexual attraction and the sense of self, for almost everyone such debates are absurd and introduce unnecessary confusion where none really exists.

The world is a complex place with literally millions of stimuli impacting us every day. Handling the intricacies of daily life as a young person is a challenge in the best of circumstances. Our foundations of biology and puberty and sexual attraction both add to those challenges and help us deal with them. From desire and anticipation to risk and rejection, at the critical years of adolescence few things are more important than having a firm grip on one’s sense of self and attraction. It’s into this maelstrom of youth that the left has introduced a malignant, unnecessary confusion that has 40% of America’s young people unsure about exactly who they are. When you don’t know who’s looking back at you in the morning it’s hard to deal with the challenges of life, nevermind persevere and overcome them. That confusion will have extraordinary consequences for these young people and for society, and none of them will be good.
