When Government Brutalizes Children

With all due respect to Jefferson, sometimes that perversion happens quickly. Such is the case in America where half our governments have launched a war on a quarter million years of biology in what seem like two weeks…

Of course, sometimes biology sucks.  My wife and I never had children. We tried, but never could. Sometimes, God’s plan doesn’t go the way you hope. We had a dog, however, Lady, a beautiful pointer we got when she was a puppy. One day when she was about seven she suddenly stopped eating.  We took her to the vet and it turned out she had pancreatic cancer.  The next day he told us there was no hope. He said he could wake her up and send her home with us, but she’d only last a couple of weeks and be in pain the whole time. We obviously couldn’t do that and said goodbye as he gave her the shot.

 

It was excruciating.  We poured all of our parental love into a puppy whose whole life was about having fun and being around us. It was almost unbearable to lose her. We cried for days. It was, and remains, the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced, and I’m old! I loved that dog more than almost anything on the planet. I certainly liked her more than most people I know.

 

To most people, this probably sounds crazy, and maybe it is. But here’s the thing: At the end of the day, as much as we loved her, we knew Lady was a dog, not an actual person. We weren’t raising her to be a good person, to graduate from college, or to raise a family. But some people get that opportunity with actual children, and they abuse it…

 

In terms of people abusing their children, there are too many stories to tell, but here I’m addressing only one aspect of that abuse: government.

 

Government plays a role in the raising of children. I don’t mean they are or should be raising America’s children. No, just the opposite. But government does have a role to play in a functioning society, things such as enforcing laws, providing a framework for resolving disputes, protecting the rights of citizens, etc.

 

But that’s not the government I’m talking about. No, I’m talking about the government that not only facilitates parents abusing their children but actively participates in the abuse itself.

 

The whole point of biology is to perpetuate the species. The whole point of civilization is to strengthen and perpetuate culture. When government undermines those things, it becomes illegitimate. Case in point. Colorado.

Last month, the Colorado House gave initial approval to a bill that would classify “misgendering”—that is, referring to a person by their actual, biological sex—as a crime if that person pretends they’re something else. What’s more, “It would also consider misgendering by a parent ‘coercive control’ and require courts to consider it when deciding child custody cases.”

 

So, a Colorado father who recognizes that his son is actually male and refuses to refer to him as a girl just because his college-educated liberal Munchausen-by-proxy-addled wife wants to turn little Johnny into little Jane could actually lose custody. (It’s almost always college-educated liberal Munchausen-by-proxy-addled women who do this.)

 

A father actually lost his parental rights to his boys because the mother, who wanted to castrate one of them, left Texas and moved the boys to California. Once there, the state sided with her.

 

This is insanity. Humans have been on earth for 250,000 years, and for all that time, there were two sexes, male and female. While you have a tiny fraction of people who genetically didn’t fit in either camp, that doesn’t make it normal, just as the existence of Siamese twins doesn’t make having two heads normal for humans.

 

The reality is that the trans psychosis that has infected the United States is the result of grooming-obsessed LGBT activists seeking to normalize that which is not normal, politicians seeking to empower themselves by promoting victimization, and a hypocritical medical system, as opposed to a Hippocratic system (“first, do no harm”), that profits at the expense of children’s physical and mental health.

 

Biology tells us that humans are men or women. There’s nothing in between beyond genetic mutations. Throughout human history, across the planet, the dominant family structure was built around what we’d call a nuclear family, with a mother and a father and their biological children at the core. Throughout history, the household structure might change (such as including grandparents or servants) but the core of a nuclear family persisted. Why? Because it’s demonstrably the most reliable organization for the perpetuation of culture and the species.

 

But somehow, in the last twenty years, we’ve decided that not only is the millennia-long definition of marriage as something between one man and one woman no longer valid but also that the most basic element of human biology, the definition of men and women, is somehow fluid.

 

If that insanity only applied to adults, it might at least be arguable, but that’s not what’s happening. We’re seeing governments embrace mental illness on an epic scale and use their police powers to help parents butcher their children and often do so at the urging of hospitals that make money off of the blood of those victims.

 

Somehow, this grooming cabal has convinced enough voters that this travesty is sufficiently normal that governments are now enforcing it.

 

The thing I don’t understand is how some parents can be so disconnected from human nature that they’re willing to butcher their children or give them medicines with the potential to destroy their lives. Nor do I understand others who, even if they have straight kids, are willing to vote for a government that butchers other people’s children and allows tweens to make life-altering decisions before they can legally vote or drink beer. Hell, I hated clipping Lady’s nails because I was scared I’d hurt her!

 

If you’d have told me 20 years ago that almost every state would have transgender clinics where they mutilate children and that half of the population would live in states where the government is complicit in this madness, I would have said you’re crazy.

 

But that’s where we are. In the best of circumstances, when adults “transition” (which is, of course, a fantasy), they’re 12 times more likely to be suicidal than those who don’t get the operation. The consequences for children are likely far higher.

 

It’s bad enough that parents sometimes abuse their children for their sick fantasies. That half of state governments help them do so is disgraceful. A government that refuses to protect children and enables their mutilation has lost all legitimacy. Donald Trump should threaten to withhold money going to any state that supports this – education, transportation, Medicare, Social Security, and every single dollar if the state doesn’t outlaw this butchery. Sure, they’ll whine, but that’s a small price for saving the tens of thousands of children whose lives would be destroyed by this butchery every year.

America 2022: Mutilating Children to Further a Leftist Narrative

I was about 15 the first time I fell in love. It wasn’t until 25 years later, that I finally got married. It wasn’t that I hadn’t tried to get married before, because I had. I asked someone to marry me when I was 17. She said no. I asked 3 more girls over the next decade, same result! The funny thing is, in each of those torpedoed proposals, the girl was right. It would have been a disaster. Sure, I was in love, but it’s clear to me today that things would never have worked out.  

Every one of those relationships and others involved a roller coaster of emotions. The heart pounding that’s associated with anticipation or the satisfaction of landing that first date or the joy of that first kiss or the awkwardness of a rejection or the heartache of a break up.

Indeed, my hormones were racing ahead of me much of the time and once caused me to do something so out of character that I cringe about it today. To my great shame I once obliquely threatened to kill a man because my girlfriend lied and claimed he’d raped her. By the grace of God I discovered the truth long before anything terrible happened, but it’s a demonstration of how hormones and emotions can cause some of us to do things that we might later regret.

Most of this heart driven chaos happened when I was ostensibly an adult. Part of the reason I’m convinced that things would never have worked out with those other girls was that I had zero idea of what the hell I wanted to do in my life. Not in college. Not in the Army. Not even as an entrepreneur. I was all over the map, from managing at a superstore to bartending to moving boxes in a warehouse; I was a living embodiment of what today they call ADHD or what we called hyperactive when I was a kid.  

Eventually I smartened up and decided to jump, and thankfully the greatest woman I know was there to catch me when I did. But here’s the thing… it took me, a relatively average guy, almost four decades to make what is arguably the most important decision in my life. I had to go through the chaos of life’s ups and downs, its light and shadows before I figured out what I wanted. I had to go through chaos as it relates to my professional life, my friends, with the things I did for leisure and distraction and even faith before I figured things out. And even when I was finally ready to jump, I always knew in the back of my mind there was an escape hatch… If things somehow went sideways I could always get a divorce and start again.

One thing that was clear however, during all of this chaos that life throws at you, was that I was 100% straight. Never was there a single moment when I thought I might not be. I see a beautiful woman and there’s a physiological reaction that simply doesn’t happen when I see dudes. I can’t imagine what would have been going on in my head if I hadn’t had that anchor.

All of this to say, I was a mess at 25, nevermind at 15, or 12 or 17… I wasn’t ready to make what is supposed to be a lifelong commitment about who I wanted to be with, even though I was 100% certain about the sex to which was attracted and there was an escape hatch available if I blew it.

But in America today there are those who think that children are not only able to make life changing decisions, they are able to make body altering decisions from which there is no return.

Youth is a time of extraordinary angst. Not only are children being introduced to people and influences beyond their families, they’re learning real world application of concepts that are fundamental to the core of our society such as responsibility, choices and consequences as well things as varied as private property, cooperation, risk / reward and privacy. All of this while trying to how to learn to read, write and do multiplication as well as make the varsity team, get a learner’s permit and taking a phalanx of college prep classes.

And as if all of that was not enough, add into the mix peer pressure. Not the kind many adults experienced in the past, such as getting picked on at school then going home to lick your wounds and regroup for the next day. No, today’s peer pressure is unrelenting, from which there is virtually no sanctuary. Kids today live on their phones and there is simply no place or time to retreat to find peace. Unless a young person has the fortitude to turn off their phone, they never get a break.

It is in this caldron of chaos that children are trying to find their way. And below that caldron are the flames of hormones that send temperatures past boiling. It’s at this most confusing time, the most formative and malleable period in a human beings’ life that activists want to empower a child to make decisions about their bodies from which there will never, ever, be a return.

That is not only despicable, it’s criminal. The list of things kids can’t legally do is as long as receipt from CVS. Drink, drive, smoke, do drugs, get a tattoo, quit school, join the military, buy adult magazines and more. So we’ve decided that a heterosexual 14 year old boy can’t buy Playboy magazine but a “trans” 12 year old boy can get castrated or a 16 year old “trans” girl can have her breasts surgically removed! That is simply abominable, and any adults who approve of this are evil and any who participate in it should be thrown in jail. That includes parents of the kids to whom this butchery is happening.

There’s a reason the Founding Fathers put age requirements in the Constitution. Even 250 years ago, before teen drinking and driving, before kids were spending hours a day staring at screens and before kids were being plied with mind altering medicines, the Founding Fathers understood that having the country run by 20 year olds would be a disaster.

Kids who would eat pizza and drink Red Bull all day aren’t intellectually or emotionally mature enough to make medically unnecessary decisions they will be yoked with for the rest of their lives. Sure, some may be confused, but the reality is, lots of young people are confused about a lot of things. Adults should not empower them to mutilate themselves just because their two best friends have decided they are going to be “trans” this because the media elite tell them it’s cool.

Gender dysphoria is a serious condition and should not be considered trivial, but the reality is, most kids will grow out of it, and for those who don’t, they’re more than capable of making a decision about their bodies once they become adults. Cutting and poisoning children for no medical reason is no less barbaric than the genital mutilation of girls in Muslim countries the west so rightly decries. A society that allows this tragedy to occur has no business calling itself civilized. Evil just might be a better word.

Joe Biden Transforms the Pentagon From a Strong Horse to a Weak Woke Horse, Just When It Counts Most...

Back in 2003 a Muslim woman sued the Florida DMV because she wanted her driver’s license photo to be taken while she was wearing a niqab, or veil, which would have covered her entire face other than her eyes.  I remember thinking how absurd such a request was.  Not that the veil was absurd, but rather the idea of taking a picture specifically intended to identify someone with all of their identifying features covered. The request obviated the basic reason of why the picture was being taken in the first place. 

A year later, again out of Florida, the North Miami police department dropped its requirement that police officers know how to swim.  Apparently because they were having a hard time finding qualified black applicants who could swim, rather than teach otherwise qualified black applicants to swim, the police did away with the requirement.

The purpose of the DMV issuing drivers’ licenses is to make it possible to identify someone by looking at them and the purpose of a police force is to protect and defend the people within a particular jurisdiction, and in cities surrounded by water that might require swimming.  Anything that defeats the very purpose of an organization is probably a bad idea from the perspective of accomplishing that organization’s mission.   

Which brings us to Joe Biden’s Pentagon.  Building on Barack Obama’s turning NASA into a Muslim outreach program, Joe Biden has decided to turn the Pentagon into a monument to wokeness.  While the Pentagon has been moving in the woke direction for years (as demonstrated by a deadly political correctness, the repeal of DADT, women in combat and picking up the tab for sex change operations) Joe Biden has turned the military into a full fledged social program.

So how can Joe Biden beat Obama’s deadly despicable modifications to the Rules of Engagement?  How about pregnant women in military cockpits?  Yes, you read that right.  Joe Biden has the American military “Designing body armor that fits women properly, tailoring combat uniforms for women, creating maternity flight suits and updating requirements for their hairstyles… It will take an intensity of purpose and mission to really change the culture and habits that cause women to leave the military.” 

If the legion of stumbles Joe Biden has already made in his short time in office haven’t convinced you of such, that sentiment alone should demonstrate clearly that he is not a serious man.

The role of the military is to protect and defend the nation and its allies as well as enforce treaties the United States has entered into, whether that’s ensuring safe passage of shipping in domestic and international waters or making preemptive strikes against terrorists planning on striking American or allied targets.  All of those things and more involve training to kill, and possibly actually killing enemies.  Military is deadly business as large numbers of lives are at stake.  Not only are there hundreds of thousands of Americans under arms who actively or potentially put their lives in danger to protect the nation on a daily basis, but there are millions of people at home and abroad whose lives are impacted by the success or failure or American military operations.

And so, in this universe where the Chinese are willing to operate the open secret of concentration camps filled with their own citizens, are claiming sovereignty over virtually the entire South China Sea, are building outposts around the world, cornering the market on strategically critical rare earth minerals and turbo charging the world’s largest military, Joe Biden wants to make sure pregnant pilots have uniforms that fit.  In a world where nuclear weapons are in more, and more unstable hands than ever before, where bioweapons like the Coronavirus can kill millions and terrorism can strike anywhere anytime, one of Joe Biden’s first acts was to lift the ban on transgender enlistments.  Joe Biden is an unserious man who has no place as Commander in Chief and in any rational world he wouldn’t be allowed within a thousand miles of the nuclear football.  But there he is sitting in the White House – sadly as the result of Democrat fraud – and turning our military into a woke petri dish.

And there’s a reason he can do it…  Most people think of the military as jets in dogfights, solders storming a den of bad guys or ships bombing a coastline.  It is all of those things and more, but the reality is the military spends an overwhelming majority of its time preparing, planning and training rather than actually fighting… which is why leftists think they can turn it into a series of social experiments.  It’s easy to measure quotas and enforce the latest politically correct policies when no one is actually shooting at or trying to kill you. Importantly, that work is where troops learn the skills necessary to survive actual combat and lay the groundwork for success in actual war.  But to the left in America doesn’t care about that. They’re more interested in the optics of diversity and inclusiveness than they are in mission success and are willing to sacrifice the latter for the former. And to the degree the military focuses on those social issues, counts pigments or genders or tries to manipulate political allegiances, the less effective the training is and at the end of the day, the less capable the military is to accomplish its primary mission.  

Osama Bid Laden said:  "When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse." Joe Biden is signaling to the world the American military is anything but a strong horse and he’s leaving no ambiguity about it.  The world sees this, our allies see this, and most importantly our enemies see this.  People around the world recognize that the United States has been the vanguard of freedom for a century and ushered in a period of economic prosperity unprecedented in human history.  But at the same time, most rational people recognize that nothing good lasts forever.  If the United States is literally telling the world that our military is focused on maternity flight suits and trans enlistments while the borg of China is expanding and strengthening its military and economic reach to unprecedented levels, we shouldn’t be surprised to see American influence deflate like a week old balloon animal as allies and friends turn their allegiances toward the strong horse.  When the left’s dream of diminished American influence comes to pass the irony will be that the tag on the boot standing on their necks will read “Made in woke America”.
